March 1, 2009

Does your boss want to take advantage of the exciting advances in new media and online outreach of the last year? Would you like some help making that happen?

DCNet in conjunction with the New Organizing Institute (NOI) is promoting a new communications fellowship program. This is a practical way to bring fresh talent and ideas to your communications team.

The NOI Fellowship Program (www.neworganizing.com) is centered around the goal of infusing the energy, talent and innovation of 2008 into the progressive movement, collaborating with advocacy groups, political offices, policy organizations and technology companies to share lessons learned and intensive analysis. Fellows possess a variety of skills and knowledge including new media, online communications, video, design, outreach to voters, and team management.

NOI has collected applications from individuals involved in the 2008 election cycle who are interested in a short-term fellowships starting as soon as possible. Terms can be adjusted to fit your program’s needs, matching your resources and work load demands. The fellowships can be as short as one day and as long as three months, with the option to hire your fellow at the end. Hosts may need to pay a stipend for the fellow’s work.

If you’re interested in taking part of this opportunity to develop your staff, knowledge and resources and would like to learn more about the Fellowship Program, contact 202-747-2625.
