DCNet Seminar: National Security Communications

April 7, 2010

Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 11 AM
There’s no doubt that health care and the economy will dominate the agenda in 2010, but national security issues can jump into the headlines at just about anytime. Whether it’s the war in Afghanistan or the underwear bomber, it’s important that progressives are well equipped to handle whatever security questions come our way.

On Wednesday, April 7 at 11 AM, DCNet will hold a seminar with the Truman National Security Project on national security communications, focusing on hot button issues of 2010:

* What’s the “security gap” and what does it mean for progressives in 2010?
* Why are hundreds of veterans around America demanding clean energy?
* Can progressives make immigration reform a national security issue and win?
* How can we close Gitmo without opening ourselves to attacks?
* Iraq & Afghanistan – Who owns them now?
* How can we make the Patriot Act patriotic?
