Winning Messages on the Economy with Elizabeth Warren

April 14, 2010

DCNet Speakers Series
Wednesday, April 14, 2010
We all know what an important issue the economy will be now that our health care reform win is behind us and the 2010 midterm elections lie ahead. We need to make sure what we are doing here in Congress to spur economic growth and create jobs is conveyed to the public back home and a hard hitting message is the key to doing that.

On Wednesday, April 14, at 11 AM, DCNet will hold a Speakers Series with Professor Elizabeth Warren about winning messages on the economy.

For the past three decades, Elizabeth Warren has devoted much of her time to studying the economics of middle class families. In the wake of the 2008-9 financial crisis, she became the chair of the Congressional Oversight Panel created to investigate TARP. In that role, she has provided a critical check on the U.S. Department of the Treasury and has been a leading advocate for accountability and transparency. She is currently the Leo Gottlieb Professor of Law at Harvard Law School where she teaches contract law, bankruptcy, and commercial law.
